The "Tape Music" Yi-Chang performance was a very special experience for it′s non-involving audiences. There were around 90 audiences, including visitors,artists,local medias and artist village workers, and 47 of them participated in the performance, i didn′t make any instructions, i did the very same thing as i did elsewhere, and apparently the audiences were not ready for interaction, most of them had difficulty reacting to the passing tape, the "Tape Music" doesn′t seeming work ,for a performance art festival, this is relatively rare. A possible explaination to this phenomene is the camera on the audiences′ hands, since probably more then half of them had a camera (not so visible in the video), and naturally, audiences took a non-involving position during the performance.
